Fotante starts at $0.99/month on the Lite plan: 25 GB of storage with the core library, duplicate detection, trip albums, world map, and timeline. There is no ad-supported free tier — the entry price is what keeps your originals stored and your library private rather than monetised.
Only the original files you upload count — photos, videos, and RAW files. Thumbnails, previews, and metadata generated by Fotante do not count toward your quota.
New uploads are paused until you upgrade or free up space. Your existing photos are never deleted automatically. If your library stays over the limit for 90 days, full-resolution originals move to cold storage — browsing and thumbnails keep working, and upgrading restores everything automatically within 48 hours, free.

Your files are stored in Amazon S3. Files you have not opened in a while move automatically to a lower-cost storage class within S3. Nothing changes for you: every file still opens instantly and downloads the same, nothing is compressed or altered, and your storage quota counts it the same way.
Your original videos are always kept exactly as you uploaded them, on every plan. The preview you watch in Fotante is 720p on Lite and 1080p on every other plan, and Max, Studio Pro and Enterprise can also play the original in full quality wherever your browser supports it. Accounts that joined before these sizes were introduced keep full-size previews unless they choose otherwise in Settings → Video.
Yes — annual billing saves you money on every paid plan. Annual is 25% off: Plus is $44.99/yr (saves $14.89), Pro is $179.99/yr (saves $59.89), and Max is $359.99/yr (saves $119.89). You can switch between monthly and annual from your account settings.
Absolutely. Cancel from account settings at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
Face recognition clusters your photos by the people in them so you can browse anyone's timeline across your whole library. It's a Pro-only feature. Face embedding data stays private to your account and can be deleted at any time from Account Settings.
Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Fotante never stores your full card number or CVV.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If we materially reduce the features of a paid plan, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the remainder of your paid period.
Team plans are flat monthly subscriptions billed per org, not per seat — your whole team shares one subscription and one storage pool. Additional seat packs (+5 seats) and extra storage blocks (+500 GB) are available as add-ons. Exact pricing will be announced at B2B launch.
